Sunflowers Childcare – More than just childcare

Our mission for Sunflowers Childcare is to create an environment where all children will want to come to. A place where parents feels that their child’s needs are being met and that they are reaching their full potential.

This is not an aspirational vision for your child. This is the gold standard minimum that you want and must insist for your child. You want a facility where your child will bond with their carers, where they will make friends and feel safe, happy and loved. These are the simple things that all children crave for. They can be easily provided but the key is to make sure that they are continuously provided and to your satisfaction, as their parent. Every child should feel secure about his surroundings always and unconditionally.

When we set up Sunflowers childcare in 2006, this is the vision we set out for ourselves. To engage always with parents who will lead change and improvement. This is always an ongoing process. There is always room for improvement. We embrace feedback from parents as it guides us for the future. We are happy that we have generated the facility that parents choose to send their chidren to in Tralee.

How do we engage with parents ?

• Our regular Newsletters provide parents with details of how our curriculum is running during the year and other information about events happening in the building.
• Our Parents’ Evenings provides an opportunity for parents to meet other parents and to hear from our invited guests such as nutritionists, parents’ coachers, first aid trainers and paediatric dentists.
• Our Keyworker System facilitates the easy transfer of important information about your child. This member of staff is your contact person in the building and will be your child’s principal carer.
